Transfer Abilities

Thanks to all who came out to today's general meeting!  To those that missed it, we had a very informative presentation on transfer abilities and success by transfer advisor Santiago Bernal.  Thank you Santi!

To quickly recap, the 10 abilities a student must embrace to successfully transfer are:
  1. Hard Work
  2. Motivation - but remember this doesn't equal successful behavior
  3. Networking - connect with your counselors, advisors and professors
  4. Persistence
  5. Attendance
  6. Financial Stability - Apply to FAFSA. Every penny counts.
  7. Engagement
  8. Service Usage - What are some of the resources at PCC? Transfer Center, Tutoring, Cross-Cultural Center, Student Government. And these aren't all!
  9. Clear Academic Plans - Update every semester
  10. Academic Preparation - Most important! Study, Attend every class
